The internal safety system of trophy bucks determines whether they are safe or in danger. This instinctual system is a combination of three senses: sight, sound and smell. These three senses form a SENSORY MATRIX which constantly evaluates all the surrounding sights, sounds and smells in order to determine safety or danger.
Trophy bucks coming to the smell of deer scent and the sound of a deer call are on ALERT and want to see the deer they smell and hear.
Deer calling, antler rattling and deer scent all lack the Visual Confirmation of another deer that truly calms trophy bucks.
In order to calm approaching trophy bucks and disarm their Sensory Matrix, the deer hunter must complete the deer scent or deer calling setup with a deer decoy.

When deer hunters combine a properly placed deer decoy with their deer call and deer scent setup, they disarm a trophy buck’s Sensory Matrix and flip his switch to “SAFE”.
